Introduction

Purpose
-------

In this repository we collect proposals for Opener, the Opener Initiative's open NR+ reference implementation covering the MAC and upper layers.

Scope

Proposals cover the following areas:

* Medium Access Control (MAC) layer
* Data Link Control (DLC) layer
* Network layer signalling
* Management and control interfaces

      DECT-2020 New Radio (NR). A standard for wireless communication
      defined by ETSI in TS 103 636.

   DLC
      Data Link Control layer.

   FT
      Fixed Termination – the network-side role in a DECT NR+ link.

   MAC
      Medium Access Control layer.

   MCS
      Modulation and Coding Scheme.

   PHY
      Physical layer.

   PT
      Portable Termination – the device-side role in a DECT NR+ link.

   RD
      Radio Device.

   RSSI
      Received Signal Strength Indicator.
